I want to break free

It’s a rainy day; gloomy and swollen the city looks. Dark deep clouds stationed above my head, it’s pouring cold and hard.

Reach office soaked and shivering, bored and dull; guess it’s the weather reflecting on my mood. Windcheater hardly serves its purpose, disgruntled I am.
I am dislocated yet again. Been working here for eight months and I roam around in the department like a nomad, as I have no fixed work station. I kind of like that though. You see, in the first place its boring to come to the same place everyday and on top of it same work station!, eww darn boring. Anyway, am glad my colleague hasn’t come to work today, so I get the comp for the day. This time my work station has been occupied by an Australian freelancer who is writing about her stay in India, all the good and bad of this country and her interesting take on my beloved Bombay.
I wish I was a traveller too instead of a wanderer in mind only.

No matter how much I try catching up on sleep is not enough. Wake up each day with swollen eyes and ever darkening dark circles. Beginning of another boring day, I need a life! I need a productive life (wonder what that really means.) Wish I could just wake up and go to Crosswords, sit there and read. How blissful that would be (will someone pay me per hour, per page?) Alas! Office it is, chilling air-conditioner, no sunlight, artificial employment, killing time, attempting to work (the track is slow, just like the harbour line), coffee breaks (not that we work very hard and all), waiting for the day to end!

I have a feature to work on and its taking an age, thanks to the rains, my problem has compounded. Need five solid quotes with a sooper solid peg, am a lil worried, Editor will kill me if it’s a stale, dead mass of words.

Want to study further, what? is a brilliant question.
Want to change my current job, where to? Zarquon knows.
Want to continue learning Salsa (my partner is getting married, so he abandoned me)
Need to save to buy a SLR and Why does JJ charge so heavily for a photography course?
Living in Bombay is getting on to my nerves; want to move out, where? Again Zarquon knows, perhaps.

I am young and am underpaid.
I am broke and am not happy.

I better get stuff done now, bored of even cribbing.

Oh but there are some good things happening too, viz.
Waiting with loads of uncertainty for my Visa.
Reading two books simultaneously and they are such contrasting plots.
Saw a good play, was a refreshing break.
Finally getting a hair cut and this time it better looks like one.
Enthufied to meet my cousin, loads to catch up on (well we talk everyday, ahem!)
Hopefully over the weekend will catch up on Sivaji, yeah The Boss…Ican’t wait to be part of the mad crowd, damn where are my plastic whistles.

….Sometimes I can balance cribbing with good things.

:) Thanks!
Sivaji it is, though I wouldn't understand the first word spoken on the screen, nonetheless, worth a watch for all his effects.
'Actions speak louder than words'...Rajni here I come.

He's the best in business right behind prabhu Mithun... Though ignorant minds make fun of them, these two guys "shaan" of Bollywood and the two reasons why I still have respect left for the industry..

Cheers :)

oh oh.. i have some other "professions" in my head too which are still unheard of and unpaid for like:
1. the one who sleeps the most gets paid the most
2. one who plays guitar for the longest hrs gets the heftiest pay packet! :P
3. one who talks the most gets paid the most
4. one who types the longest comments gets the cheques with the largest figures
and such other brilliant ideas.. wat say? :P

My take:
-- One who reads the most number of blogs gets knightship.
-- One who day dreams gets a noble peace prize
--One who drinks coffee at an insane frequency gets the arjuna award.
--One who pretends to be working get the Bravery award...

women are weird, they are simply innovative, i say.
hair cut is an amazing de stresser..
