While the pale light passed lazily through the dust laden listless mirror; my glance caught your dry eye-stationed blank like my barren reflection.
With half heart and half a glance, you returned the gesture that got lost somewhere in transit and all I saw was the yellow tainted mirror staring stark screaming of my lost chance.
I stood there in complete will and fragmented mind- to see you- to see the glimpse slightly clear,
You stood there- In wonderment, of how the light fell with a slant,
While I yearned for that one piercing look,
You waited for the angle to decline and see the slant go steeper.
Such a contrast – was our glance.
Your brow broke into several waves of thought lines and I flickered a hopeful smile that finally you noticed my meandering, fleeting glance that has been standing in a limbo- neither this side nor on the better side.
Alas! What you saw was just the slant till it dropped, and what I saw was just my fantasy wavering across in human form.

With "half heart"@ and half a glance, you returned the gesture that got lost somewhere in transit and all I saw was the yellow tainted "mirror staring stark"* screaming of my lost chance.
I stood there in complete will and "fragmented"╞ mind- to see you- to see the glimpse slightly clear,
You stood there- In wonderment, of how the "light fell with a slant"*,
While I yearned for that one "piercing"# look,
You waited for the "angle to decline"$ and see the slant go steeper.
Such a contrast – was our glance

Dayum.. You explored every possible subject in one single poem..
p.s: Juts kiddin'. :) The fact that I read it, re-read it and re-re-read it to scrawl all that bullsh!t proves that I really liked this one.. I was just tryin' to misplace my glance and read between the lines. ;)
:) the misplaced glance of reading between the line did wonders eh?
